XS Global Appoints Gabriel Gross as Director of the Parametric Division
February 28th – Miami, FL / XS Global continues pursuing its strategy of building a globally diversified specialty MGA platform and now appoints Gabriel Gross as Director of ART & Parametrics, effective March 1st. Gabriel is a well-known insurance executive with a strong focus on innovation, technology, climate risks, and sophisticated risk transfer products.
With over 15 years of experience in the insurance market, Gabriel founded Meteo Protect in 2011, a Lloyd’s coverholder and reinsurance underwriting platform specializing in parametric insurance programs and providing parametric risk transfer technology and services, which was later acquired by Cooper Gay in 2020. Following this, he served as the Director of Parametric Solutions at Cooper Gay, where he developed parametric solutions implementing the processes, and methods from Meteo Protect. Throughout his career, he was also a pioneer in the Internet and software industry and the CEO of Atacama Innovation, a licensed insurance, reinsurance, and weather derivatives broker and Cooper Gay partner, focused on delivering sophisticated risk transfer solutions.
In his new role at XS Global, Gabriel will be based in Paris, where he will lead the expansion of the parametric portfolio and secure additional capacity for a global diversified book of business. Additionally, he will drive the development of innovative parametric solutions by leveraging technology and industry expertise.

Gabriel has a Master’s Degree in Finance at HEC Paris and is a self-taught IT and AI pioneer.
